BARC India assigns Nakul Chopra as the new CEO.
1 min readAs Sunil Lulla, the former CEO of BARC (Broadcast Audience Research Council India) heads out to pursue entrepreneurship; the position is now handed over to Nakul Chopra.
The position fits Nakul Chopra naturally as he has been in association with BARC India for long now. He joined the board in 2016 as the chairman of the company and then served the company at various positions such as oversight committee member, CEO, India and South Asia Publics, worldwide and now CEO, BARC. He has built a credible and respectful image for himself in the advertising and media industry through his long career.
Nakul Chopra on his appointment as the CEO, BARC, expressed, “I have had the benefit of a long association with BARC. The organisation has grown in measure and strength. TV continues to be the definitive screen of the Indian home-its strong reach and connect continues to elicit trust of advertisers. I look forward to working with the very capable BARC team in further building on TV measurement and continuing the journey toward screen agnostic measurement”.
Punit Goenka, the chairman, BARC India, congratulated Nakul Chopra for being the natural and unanimous choice of the board on one hand and thanked Sunil Lulla for his association and services with BARC India, till now. He also asserted that the knowledge and experience of Nakul Chopra will benefit the organisation enormously. His services shall be effective from August 25, 2021.
